About Emerald City Chimney — Serving Seattle & the Eastside Since 1989

Emerald City Chimney was founded in 1989 by Brent and Wayne, two King County natives who spent three years working in the chimney industry before striking out on their own. Their goal from day one: bring integrity and transparency to a trade where both were often in short supply — providing honest estimates and reliable workmanship from the first call to the finished job.

What started in a two-bedroom apartment grew into a commercial office within the first year, and the company has been growing ever since.

Early in our history, we partnered with local manufacturers to design stainless steel chimney caps that meet current building code requirements. We continue that relationship today, refining and improving hardware as codes and conditions evolve. Most recently, we developed a damper cap system with integrated spark screen — a design unique to the Pacific Northwest.

Over more than 35 years, Emerald City Chimney has built a strong reputation with property managers and real estate agents across King County who rely on us to deliver safe, water-tight wood-burning fireplace systems. Whether it’s a routine chimney sweep, a cap or damper installation, or masonry repair, we bring the same standard of professionalism to every job.
